Tragic Loss of TikTok's 'Okay Baby': Family Disputes Police Claim in Fatal Car Crash

 

In a heartbreaking incident on April 24, 2025, 2-year-old TikTok sensation Preston Ordone, affectionately known as "Okay Baby," tragically lost his life in a car crash in Covington, Louisiana. The accident occurred when the family's Ford F-150 veered off Interstate 12 and struck a tree. Preston's parents, Katelynn and Jaelan Ordone, both sustained serious injuries and are currently recovering in separate hospitals. Their daughter, Paisley, was not in the vehicle at the time.​

The Louisiana State Police reported that Preston was "improperly restrained" in his child safety seat during the crash. However, this claim has been strongly disputed by Preston's grandfather, Glen Norris. He asserts that a witness at the scene confirmed Preston was properly secured. Norris described the police statement as "hurtful and painful," emphasizing the family's belief in the accuracy of the witness's account.

Preston had gained a devoted following on TikTok, amassing over 400,000 followers with his charming videos featuring his signature phrase, "Okay!" His untimely death has sparked an outpouring of grief from fans and supporters. A GoFundMe campaign established to assist the family has raised over $31,000 of its $50,000 goal.

The Louisiana State Police have stated that the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, including the collection of a routine toxicology sample from the driver. They emphasized the importance of proper child restraint systems in preventing such tragedies.
